"There are ombré that occur naturally in the Californian skyline, which is why I think the human mind gravitates towards this type of color transition"

Designer Adam Hunter

Your collection is a celebration of ombré, where did you get the inspiration?

A California sunrise and sunset are the most beautiful in the world.
This collection is all about the many ways ombré can be interpreted and manipulated to create subtle to overtly dramatic works of art for upholstery and leather walls.

The ombré effect was designed through tiles, but also on hides thanks to the digital printing. How was that achieved?

I wanted to design leather wall coverings that could represent the colour transitions that you usually see in nature. When collaborating with Studioart for this collection, I looked into the many ways I could manipulate the effect of ombréand this is how the ombré was translated into a wise combination of different leathers and tiles in Bel Air, Malibu and Santa Monica. During this research I also worked closely with Studioart on creating innovative techniques with leather, like digital printing.
What resulted is the richest ombré printed leather to hit the market - for walls and upholstery, Palisades.
